I then tried tody and that was great, just a simple list. I mostly wanted to leave a review so if anyone who is similar to me and knows they'd be bothered by the things I listened reads this, they maybe don't spend €5 on an app that they can't use, but clearly it works for a lot of other people. Anyway, sorry, like I said, it's great that it works for some people, but that was not for me. Like, I don't want to move furniture and clean under it and sweat and be gross after showering and taking the time for makeup? Also, if I wear shoes, I'm just going to feel like my floor is worse than it was before. Especially the "shower, put on make-up, and wear shoes before cleaning" bits. Also, I really hope this doesn't come off rude because it's great that her methods work for some people, and I do appreciate the suggestion, and really don't want to sound ungrateful, but I just felt angry trying it haha. The interface was a bit distracting for me. I started with the fly woman app, but that was not for me. More detailed reviews of my experience with both apps: Tl dr Thank you for the kindness and great suggestions! Fly lady app didn't work for me, but Tody did and things are already a lot better! I didn't try the mom one suggested because tody is going well. So a weekly checklist, despite maybe being a childish request, could go a long way at knowing where to start. I've had moments of intense cleaning (usually under shame or embarrassment of it being bad), and even gotten help to organise and that was great, but I am finally admitting that I really don't know what to do to keep things nice/orderly. I do notice that I'm pretty effected by this & am hurting myself and my family by not learning how to do these things correctly. I'd very much like to have a clean/organized/maybe even minimal environment. That coupled with the ADHD issues is really just that I do not know where to begin. As a kid, I was forced to clean and hated it and had fights with my parents about it & I think there's still a lot of negative memories tied to cleaning which makes me want avoid it. It was only after following Marie kondos method a couple of years ago that I realized I wasn't actually a horder at all, and have no problems throwing out or recycling things, but just really have no idea where to begin. Longer: I'm severely ADHD and assumed for a while that I was a horder. Tl Dr I'm looking for a checklist that covers cleaning (both upkeep & decluttering/tidying).
